On the first day of Christmas….
OK,
you had to see this one coming, right?
It’s been 2 weeks since I’ve done a Beer Run, I’m having withdrawal
symptoms.
‘Tis
the season you know. The season for all
sorts of Christmas Ales, Winter Warmers and Holiday Hoptaculars. What better way to celebrate the season than with
a double-wide 12 Beers of Christmas Beer Run!
And no, it’s not an original idea – just Google 12 Beers of Christmas
and you’ll get pages of hits.
My
criteria for this beer run are simple – it just has to be seasonal Christmas,
holiday or winter release. It could be
any style of beer, just put some holiday cheer in a bottle and it counts!
We’ll
start out the run with our figurative partridge in a pear tree, Schlafly
Christmas Ale. This is a moderate spiced
ale, not too strong, with a malty taste, lightly spiced with cardamom, ginger
and orange peel.
