Duke Blue Devils 21 -
Virginia Cavaliers 31. Go Hoos!
I rolled down to
Charlottesville with the family for the weekend to take in the UVA – Duke game
and meet up with some old friends. We hit
no traffic, got a good parking spot, and the Cavaliers won, despite some really
bad refereeing.
Before the game, we
grabbed lunch at the Cavalier Kickoff at Alumni Hall. $10 got you 2 pieces of fried chicken + a hot
dog, hamburger or bbq sandwich + 2 side dishes + 2 desserts! And you wonder why America has an obesity
problem!
Plus they had Starr Hill’s
“The Love” on tap for 2 bucks. Served
very cold in a red solo cup, The Love is an unfiltered hefeweizen style beer,
but it doesn’t taste as fruity as other wheat beers. I’d compare this to Magic Hat #9, without
the apricot.
