Flensburger, Flensburger,
Flensburger.
Not quite a Beer Run, but we’ve got another beer from Flensburger
tonight. Flensburger Dunkel ranks the 29th
top Dunkel on Beer Advocate’s list.
What’s a Dunkle? Dunkels were the
original beer style of Bavarian villages and countrysides. Most dunkels are
lagers, ranging in color from amber to a dark reddish brown. They are often full bodied, in part because
of the large amount of Munich malts used.
The Flens Dunkel actually reminded me a bit of an Oktoberfest or Marzen,
malty with a bit of a sweet taste.
Too many dunkels can make you drunkel!
