Day 111, April 21, 2011
Desnoes & Geddes Ltd / Kingston, Jamaica
G + 1 = VG
Red Stripe is probably the most widely available Caribbean beer stateside. With its familiar stubby brown bottle and red stripe (duh), you can get it just about anywhere.
I picked up a six pack at the Pueblo grocery store on St. Thomas (which is a good thing because no alcohol is sold anywhere on St. Thomas on Good Friday between 5am and 5pm - plan ahead).
The view from our balcony in the background of this picture gives you a good clue why every beer in this run gets a +1 bump. Red Stripe is a good, light beer for a warm, sunny day, which in St. Thomas is pretty much every day.
